Nichole Bergerson, Principal

Welcome to Gage Elementary School, Home of the Gage Gators!

I am excited to be back for my 2nd year as Gage Elementary School Principal.  This year marks my 24th year in education, and I love the excitement and dynamic energy it brings to my life each and every day.  I truly believe this profession chose me, and I am grateful every day to have the ability to support our students, families, staff, and community.  One of my favorite statements about education is something my mom said to me when I was a kid.  She said, “No one can ever take your education from you.  No matter what happens in your life, it is yours forever.” I carry that with me wherever I go.  I remind my own children of that, as well as those children with whom have been entrusted to my care to grow as learners every day.  I am excited to work together with staff and families to give your students the excitement, passion, successes, knowledge, and understanding about their own learning journey as well.

A little bit about me . . . I am married to my husband, Ross, and we have three kids. This year will mark the last year of our family motto, “Three kids, three schools, three years!”  Our oldest daughter will be a junior at John Marshall High School this year.  Our second daughter will be in eighth grade at Friedell Middle School, and our son will be in fifth grade at Elton Hills Elementary.  Our kids bring us so much joy, teach us something new, and help us grow wiser each day.  We look forward to all the milestones that they will have throughout their lives.  When I am not at work I enjoy reading, staying active, playing guitar, singing, gardening, baking, and hanging out with my family and friends.

Gage Elementary is so rich in programming focused on meeting the needs of ALL students. I look forward to another exciting year of learning for your students!
