Mission...Our team will support all learners through design and delivery of District broadcast media.

What We Do...Rochester Instructional Television system provides closed circuit programming to district classrooms by teacher request. Cable channel 189 carries district programming 24 hours a day. Programming on channel 189 includes district news programs, Elementary events, Middle and High School concerts, announcements and much more. Our professional staff here at RITS Studios work hard to provide the district and the community with the highest quality of broadcast media and production.

Kurt Koehler has been with the Rochester Public School District since November 2000. He began his employment with the District as a Multimedia Producer for RITS. Kurt earned an Associate Degree in TV Production, but says most of his skills have been learned from on-the-job-training. He oversees the RITS studio and keeps it running smoothly. This task includes everything from taping an event, to running cables, to building a set for one of the weekly programs. In high school Kurt received two awards from the San Francisco Film Festival for one of his films. The film was later displayed in The Museum of Modern Art in New York.



Chris Wroblewski

Chris Wroblewski was born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota. Growing up with computers led him towards digital art. With a strong interest in media production, he enrolled at Rochester Community and Technical College in their Multimedia Design program. Chris handles Multimedia Production, DVD Duplication, and Video Automation & Programming for the district.  During his free time, Chris enjoys digital photography, hiking, biking, and an occasional autocross race.
